May Day and Mayheim

Talk about a beautiful month huh? I can't believe how warm and gorgeous it has been in the Northwest! I have been helping teach in a dual immersion (Spanish/English) program for first graders in Corvallis. I teacher assist Monday-Thursday from noon to 3pm. Due to lack of hiring in Corvallis, I am not working a job, so rather I have a little more time to focus on wedding prep. May has been the month of planning and ordering. Each person in my family has different visions of what we should do, so I spend a lot of time trying to keep track of it all. Bjorn has been busy driving in between Blodgett and Southworth, looking for a good job, going to conferences, and anything else to make some good connections. As well as to see his favorite person! ;)

We are driving down this weekend to Chester, California with some friends to both of our roommates' wedding, Dan and Julie Spicer. It will be crazy to see two of our friends actually married. I'm sure Bjorn and I will both be a little jealous to see them....and eloping might suddenly become a tempting alternative!! After this weekend, we'll be sending out wedding invitations. So this is your last chance to email us your address if you want one! More to be reported soon. Jenny, over and out.

The Month of April

Posted by Jenny - On 2007.05.05

What a chaotic time! April hit and so did all of the term papers and finals. The rush of the month continued on as our families arrived only a day after my last final for graduation weekend. It was time for parties and celebration as family met family. Bjorn and I both graduated on Saturday (although at separate times) from Trinity Western University. My family met Bjorn's immediate family as well as the whole Eide clan Sunday afternoon for a brunch. Bjorn and I both agree that it was a hit! The entire weekend was a lot of fun, but everyone went home exhausted from all of the excitement. This week was spent moving out of our houses, saying goodbye to Canada and slowly making our way back home.

I spent 2 days with Bjorn's family in Southworth, WA and with my roommate of 4 years, Jana Otte. Finally today, I drove down to Oregon to get ready to start a ESL teaching practicum in a 1st grade dual immersion classroom on Monday. I will also try to look for some part-time paid work, as well as get serious about planning a wedding! Bjorn is staying in Southworth for the week, working on his resume and finding a job both for the summer and for after the wedding. It is a busy time, but hopefully now that school is over, Bjorn and I can both take things a little slower. I am excited to have my family around to help with all of the wedding preparations.
